For most of 2019, I maintained a habit of trying to create and share 60 seconds of music made with my op-z every day. At the time, this was a personal exercise in trying to make space to love music-making — going into the project, i was feeling more creatively burnt out than I ever had before, and felt like I needed to do something to keep an active relationship to music and creative work in a challenging time. The op-z felt like a revelation - portable, deep, and still friendly to improvisation. I’ve been sitting on an archive of (most) of these tracks ever since (all recorded live in one shot and preserved as such here) and finally curated/mastered a selection of some to share for this week’s 'Bandcamp Friday'. Proceeds will be split and donated every month to The Okra Project and One Fair Wage.
